TV Slides
At Mount Si High School there are TVs up around the hallways. One of the things I do in my digital imaging class is make slides for the TVs. People tell us what they want and we make the slide for them.
Art Club Slide. Completion Date: 1/31/2013. I am in art club, so I made this slide for the TVs at our school. I used the paint brush tool for the background, then I experimented with different blend modes. I also used the shape tool to make an opaque square so that the words are easier to read. For the words "art club" I used the bevel and emboss effect.
Festival of the Arts. Completion Date: ? These are some slides that I made for the Festival of the Arts, which is our schools art show. I made the backgrounds for these slides ising different filters and the paint brush tool. I added a drop shadow to the words and made it so the pistures were outlined in black.
Teacher Location Slide. Completion Date: 9/20/2013. I also made this one for the open house. I made the background by first using the shape tool to make a big, red rectangle. Then I added the stained glass filter. After that I made a black box using the shape tool and added a white stroke. I also added a stroke on the title.
Seattle AIDS Walk. Completion Date: 9/25/2013. I made the background blue and then I found a picture of Seattle online, then I combined the two using a blend mode. Next I added a stroke to the words. After that I used the shape tool to make that white rectangle behind the words "Donate. Walk. Support." so that it would stand out more and be easier to read.
College and Career Night. Completion Date: 10/2/2013. First I used the gradient tool to make a rainbow background. Then I used the brush tool to add more to it. After that I used the pin light blend mode and duplicated the layer. Then I added the words with a black stroke. The last thing I did was use the gradient tool to make the bottom darker so that the smaller writing is easier to read.
